DR LUKE BLANTON

Dr. Blanton graduated from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1968. He served 2 years in the United States Air Force working with sentry dogs and public health. Dr. Blanton moved to Tallahassee in 1971 and built Capital Circle Hospital in 1972. "The Fritz", our Boarding, Grooming and Pet Supplies Facility, was added to the hospital in 1981.
Dr. Blanton holds accreditation in the States of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. He is a past president and secretary of the Tallahassee Rotary Club as well as past president and board member of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association. His special interests include neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics and dermatology.
Dr. Blanton is married to Jane Blanton. He has two children, Bryan, who lives in Birmingham, Alabama and Allison, who lives in Tallahassee. He and Jane have four cats- “Buddy”, “Cosmo”, “Jackie” and “Mary Lou”. When he is not working, he enjoys playing tennis and racquetball, fishing, as well as photography.
